I wanted to tell you about a new product we are offering. With the recent increase in
copper theft from HVAC units, we have been receiving calls asking if we have a solution. After some quick research we were able to find the best solution for the best price. We now have an excellent and cost-effective way to prevent copper theft. Our HVAC kit works by weaving a wire through the condenser of your HVAC unit. The wire is ran through a resistor. If the wire is cut your home alarm system will go off. The kit also includes two tilt sensors. If the air conditioning unit is moved the alarm will also sound. That allows us to monitor your HVAC unit for two different kinds of damage. This kit can be added on to any home security system. We are always looking for new solutions as burglars are getting more creative. Copper theft is nothing new, but there has been a recent spike in the amount of HVAC units being damaged for copper. They will cause $2000.00 of damage to get $20.00 worth of copper. Protect yourself from t ...

There is a plague attempting to destroy our industry and confuse our customers. The myth is that hardwired security equipment is a thing of the past. Many companies are touting that the future is completely wireless. That hardwired security is dead. After listening to this for three years I decided to weigh in on the subject. A competitive company has recently been going door to door telling our customers that their equipment is outdated because it is not completely wireless. Not only does it bother me that they are attempting to steal my clients… I am concerned with the way they do it. The real reason these guys want to install wireless equipment is because they can install it quickly. Since they are an out of State company they want put as many systems on the ground as possible while they are here. But I’m losing focus, this is not a blog about door knocking security companies. I could write a book about that too. The fact is that wireless equipment is very reliable. It is a great solutio ...

ASI is happy to announce that we will be partnering with a local consignment shop, The Pearl, for an August promotion. Kellie, the owner of The Pearl, wrote a post about her business, giving back to the community, and the promotion. We wanted to share it with you. Read what Kellie had to say below.
I absolutely love owning a consignment shop! Being the owner/operator of New Castle's newest consignment shop, The Pearl, has been quite rewarding! The Pearl is a fashion consignment shop at its best for women & teen gals on a budget. It is truly a win / win business. I offer items at low prices keeping money in our community, and I offer the opportunity for citizens of our community to make a little extra cash. Everyone is struggling right now, and any little way to save or make money is a blessing.
The store has the very mod, chic, feminine atmosphere of an upscale boutique without the upscale prices! I offer quality name brand clothes, (00-Plus sizes) shoes, purses, jewelry & accessories with pri ...

We recently welcomed Westview Animal Clinic of Muncie to our list of happy clients. When Brandon, the sales representative for the job, told me their story I felt like I should write about it. This story is a good example of how we do business. Brandon met Debbie from the Animal Clinic at BNI. BNI is a business-networking group, and if you aren’t involved in BNI I suggest you join a local chapter. Debbie mentioned that she was having serious issues with her security system. The company who installed the system put in smoke detectors, and they were causing constant false alarms. The dander from the animals was setting the photoelectric beam in the smoke detectors off. In Delaware County the police and fire departments charge a hefty fee for false alarms. Debbie was at a loss. The clinic couldn’t afford to continue paying false alarm fees, but removing the smoke detectors would put the animals in danger. After a quick consultation Brandon knew that replacing them with heat detectors would ...

Yeah, I know my way around your house because I was just here working last week. I even unlocked a window to let myself back in later.
I always knock first. If you’re home I’ll offer to clean your carpets. If not... well, you get the idea.
Facebook, twitter, or foursquare told me you weren’t home. I know how to use a computer.
I may carry a clipboard or a rake. Anything to look like a service guy and not a burglar.
I notice when your newspapers or mail pile up. It's like an open invitation.
Sometimes I can see if your alarm system is on from the window. You better hope it is.
I like lights in your house when you’re gone. It makes it easy for me to see what to take.
Your neighbors probably don’t know if I’m supposed to be at your house or not. I could look like a plumber. Don’t count on them to call you. Would you call them?
You’re right about that safe, I don’t have time to crack it. But I will take it with ...
