We recently welcomed Westview Animal Clinic of Muncie to our list of happy clients. When Brandon, the sales representative for the job, told me their story I felt like I should write about it. This story is a good example of how we do business. Brandon met Debbie from the Animal Clinic at BNI. BNI is a business-networking group, and if you aren’t involved in BNI I suggest you join a local chapter. Debbie mentioned that she was having serious issues with her security system. The company who installed the system put in smoke detectors, and they were causing constant false alarms. The dander from the animals was setting the photoelectric beam in the smoke detectors off. In Delaware County the police and fire departments charge a hefty fee for false alarms. Debbie was at a loss. The clinic couldn’t afford to continue paying false alarm fees, but removing the smoke detectors would put the animals in danger. After a quick consultation Brandon knew that replacing them with heat detectors would eliminate the issue without a loss of fire protection. We did just that, and the false alarms stopped immediately. We were able to save Westview Animal Clinic money, and still provide them with the protection they needed. No more false alarm fees.
Although I do love writing about our false alarm rate (under 1%) and how great of a job our sales guys do at recommending the best and most cost-effective solutions, that isn’t what sparked me to write this post. After Brandon finished telling me the story he said something that really got me thinking. He told me that Westview Animal Clinic was the perfect example of why he loves working at ASI. He was able to help someone solve a problem, and they were happy with the solution and the price. He felt good about what he did for them. That’s what we are all about at ASI. We don’t sell products. We provide solutions. We solve their problems, and we get rid of their headaches (at least the headaches induced by poorly designed security systems). The Westview Animal Clinic story is typical of our clients, but it was nice to hear Brandon put it all into words.
What are some of your stories about dealing with a service provider who put you first (ASI or anyone else)? We love it when you share!
